Phân tích yêu cầu đề bài:
Đề bài yêu cầu người viết bày tỏ mức độ đồng ý với quan điểm cho rằng trò chơi truyền thống vượt trội hơn trò chơi hiện đại trong việc phát triển năng lực của trẻ em. Trọng tâm nằm ở việc so sánh hiệu quả phát triển các loại năng lực khác nhau, không phải đánh giá giá trị giải trí hay đạo đức của game.

1.3. Dàn bài chi tiết
Intro – Paragraph 1:
- Paraphrase đề bài.
- Nêu rõ lập trường của người viết thông qua Thesis statement (câu luận điểm) để thể hiện Partial agreement (đồng ý một phần): trò chơi truyền thống có lợi thế rõ rệt trong một số kỹ năng, nhưng trò chơi hiện đại cũng đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc phát triển những năng lực khác.
Body 1 – Paragraph 2:
Lập luận vì sao traditional games vượt trội hơn trong một số khía cạnh.
- Lợi thế về physical abilities: vận động, phối hợp cơ thể
- Lợi thế về social skills: giao tiếp trực tiếp, teamwork, xử lý cảm xúc
→ Nhấn mạnh yếu tố môi trường chơi thực tế và tương tác mặt đối mặt.
Body 2 – Paragraph 3:
Lập luận vì sao modern games vẫn có giá trị phát triển năng lực cho trẻ.
- Phát triển cognitive skills: tư duy chiến lược, phản xạ
- Phát triển digital literacy: kỹ năng công nghệ, cần thiết trong xã hội hiện đại
→ Nhấn mạnh rằng không phải tất cả game hiện đại đều thụ động hay tiêu cực.
Conclusion – Paragraph 4:
- Khẳng định lại quan điểm đồng ý một phần
- Nhấn mạnh cách tiếp cận cân bằng: kết hợp thế mạnh của cả hai loại trò chơi để hỗ trợ sự phát triển của trẻ.
2. Bài mẫu
There has been a growing debate over whether traditional games are more beneficial than modern alternatives in fostering children’s development. While conventional games play a vital role in the physical and social growth of children, I would argue that modern games can also contribute meaningfully to the improvement of cognitive and technical skills.
On the one hand, traditional pastimes possess distinct advantages in terms of physical health and social abilities. Unlike screen-based entertainment, these activities often require constant movement and coordination, which helps children improve their overall physical fitness. For example, during games such as hide and seek or tag, participants are required to run and react quickly to unpredictable situations, thereby strengthening their body coordination and motor skills. Beyond physical benefits, such games also promote interpersonal competence, namely communication and teamwork, when interacting with peers. Through repeated engagement in shared activities, children gradually learn how to cooperate in a group, negotiate rules, and handle conflicts, all of which are essential for long-term social development.
However, one should not dismiss modern games as ineffective without acknowledging their potential contribution to cognitive development and digital skills among youngsters. Many digital games are designed to stimulate critical thinking through strategic gameplay and rapid decision-making. For instance, open-world games like Minecraft encourage players to plan ahead, manage limited in-game resources, and adapt to their surroundings, allowing them to create or explore with endless possibilities. Furthermore, early exposure to game interfaces and online collaboration is essential in building confidence in digital literacy. As children grow older, adapting to technological advancements in contemporary society becomes less challenging due to their prior experience with virtual landscapes. When used in moderation and with careful selection, modern games can support intellectual growth in a technology-driven world.
In conclusion, although traditional games are superior in promoting physical well-being and social interaction, modern games also play a valuable role in fostering cognitive and technological competence. Therefore, rather than downplaying modern gaming, one should aim for a balanced approach that utilizes the unique strengths of both.
