1. Bài mẫu (Sample)
I’d like to talk about my best friend, Dang. He’s hands-down the most organized person I’ve ever met.
We first met in high school, and even back then, he’s already been in charge of pretty much everything in the class. As a class monitor, he would look over the students’ numbers, class timetables, and even group projects.
Regarding the type of things he occasionally organizes, I’d say it’s diverse. Up until now, whenever we have a get-together, he’d be the one stepping up to host it. Even for large parties and extensive trips, he would always draft a detailed itinerary in advance. For instance, last summer we went to Da Lat, and Minh didn’t just book the accommodation. He prepared a detailed spreadsheet with weather forecasts, spending and travel times. If anything had gone wrong, he would have even had a contingency plan in place! We were all in awe because of how well-prepared this man was!
I think the reason why he is this meticulous is because he’s an innately disciplined person. He always seems to have everything figured out, even mapping out his career goals and monthly budget.
As for how I feel about him, I have a lot of respect for his ability to stay on top of things. To be honest, I’m a bit of a procrastinator, so having him as company can be immensely helpful. However, I do sometimes tease him for being a bit too uptight. Disciplined as he might be, I’ve noticed how it’s difficult for him to let loose and be more spontaneous because of that. Overall, I think his knack for planning is an admirable trait, and I really look up to his attentiveness.

1. Do you think it’s important to plan ahead?
Absolutely. I think it’s necessary to be a proactive person. When you map things out, it can be easier to account for many unwanted variables. Also, planning can save a great amount of time and mental energy because you aren’t struggling to think about your next move. However it’s important that you stay flexible and not become too rigid with your schedules.
2. Do you think children should plan their future careers?
To be honest, I think it’s a bit of a high bar for children. At that age, their understanding of professions and careers can be quite limited. Therefore, while it’s great to have career orienting sessions to encourage them to explore their interests, forcing them to commit to a specific career path is not advisable. There’s plenty of time for such strategic thinking once they hit their late teens.
3. Is making study plans popular among young people?
It is getting popular, but that also depends. With the rise of stationary items consuming, many students are becoming more obsessed with aesthetic planners rather than effective planning methods. Many spend hours decorating their journals with colorful tapes and stickers, which is often just a form of productive procrastination. While this trend has made organization feel more trendy, it doesn’t always equate better time-keeping or academic results. So, while the aesthetic of planning is big on social media, the actual commitment to following through with these plans can be somewhat vague.
Ideally yes, but in reality, it is becoming harder to do so. In the past, your degree was your ending goal to a stable career, utilizing the knowledge that you have acquired. However, the modern job market often value transferable skills over intellectual expertise. Hence, many people end up in industries that have absolutely nothing to do with what they studied at university. For example, a philosophy major might end up as a highly successful project manager to keep themselves afloat, as researching grants might not be enough to guarantee a stable income.
