1. Bài mẫu (Sample)
I know it sounds like a cliche and you may have already listened to this talk for too many times but Taylor Swift is the only name that springs to mind whenever I hear the word “creative artist”. I guess I just truly admire her, the American singer-songwriter who has become one of the most influential artists of our generation.
I first knew about her when I was at university and heard her song “I don’t wanna live forever”, the music video was amazing. The mood was dark, intimate, and cinematic, with flashing lights, reflections in mirrors, and occasional shots of shattered glass to symbolise emotional chaos and pain, which perfectly fit the movie “Fifty shades darker”. It’s not my favourite movie though but the soundtrack including Taylor’ song is just chef’s kiss . Since then, I’ve followed her career closely and have been amazed by how she constantly reinvents herself through her music.
Her greatest achievement, in my opinion, is her ability to evolve artistically while staying authentic. She started as a country singer, then moved to pop, and even explored indie folk and alternative styles with her albums Folklore and Evermore. She has also been the first artist to win Album of the Year at the Grammys four times, which stands as a testament to her talent and dedication.
What makes Taylor Swift truly creative is her storytelling ability. She doesn’t just write songs, I suppose that her forte is crafting emotional stories that connect deeply with listeners. Her lyrics are poetic, filled with vivid imagery and metaphors, and many of them are inspired by her personal experiences. She is also a master of using visuals creatively with her music videos and stage designs for the “Eras Tour,” which felt like a journey through her artistic evolution. She proves that creativity is not just about talents but also about having the courage to experiment and express your true self.

1. Do you think children should learn to play musical instruments?
Yes, I strongly believe children should be encouraged to do so. Playing music helps develop not only creativity but also discipline and emotional intelligence. When children practice regularly, they learn patience and perseverance, which can greatly benefit them in other areas of life. Moreover, music is a great way to express emotions and build confidence, especially for kids who may be shy. However, I also think it shouldn’t be a must, like something parents force their children to do. Some children might be more interested in painting or dancing, so what matters the most is giving them the freedom to explore creative pastimes that genuinely excite them.

2. How do artists acquire inspiration?

For example, Taylor Swift often draws inspiration from her personal relationships and life events, turning them into songs that millions can relate to. Others might find creativity through nature, literature, or social issues. I guess the hardest part of gaining creativity is that it’s the result of consistent effort, observation, or even heartbreak. And it’s my belief that true artists can turn ordinary moments into extraordinary art because they view the world with curiosity and emotional sensitivity.

For instance, images of natural disasters s often move people to tears to take action or donate. On the other hand, the overuse of visuals can be problematic, as it may distort the truth or sensationalise a story. So while pictures and videos are essential, I think they must be used ethically, with context and accuracy, to ensure audiences are well informed rather than misled.

4. What can we do to help children stay creative?

Instead of focusing solely on academic achievement with a test-driven curriculum, we should allow kids to take risks and make mistakes, because that’s how creative thinking develops. Activities like storytelling, building projects, or writing songs can stimulate imagination and problem-solving skills. It also helps a lot when parents can take children to museums, concerts, or even nature trips to broaden their minds.
5. How does drawing help to enhance children’s creativity?
Drawing helps children visualise their thoughts and emotions, which is essential for creative development. When they draw, they’re not just copying what they see, but instead, they’re interpreting the world through their own lens. This strengthens their imagination. For example, a child drawing their “dream house” might combine real and fantasy elements, showing how freely they can think. It’s also a stress-relieving activity that gives kids space to reflect and think independently.

6. What kind of jobs require creativity?
I reckon that creativity has become essential in almost every profession today. Of course, traditional creative fields like music, design, or film rely heavily on it, but to my surprise, it’s also a key to being successful in technology and business. For instance, engineers need creativity to design innovative products, and marketers use it to craft persuasive campaigns. Even teachers must “think outside the box” to come up with engaging ways to help students learn. In my opinion, creativity can define how people approach challenges and adapt to change in a fast-evolving world.
