1. What communication skills does a talkative person have?

I suppose individuals who like to talk a lot often possess nonverbal communication skills, like making eye contact or gesturing. The reason is that they love expressing their feelings and thoughts outwardly, but this desire is not always fulfilled by just talking a lot. I can see this in many of my talkative friends because when they say they feel happy, their faces also light up.

  • outwardly: ra bên ngoài

2. Is it good to be talkative? (no, tuned out)

For me, being talkative can be beneficial, like when it helps break the awkward silence of people meeting for the first time, like my friend Liam that I mentioned in part 2. However, it’s not always a good idea, as it can bombard the listeners with too much information that they would tune the speakers out altogether cuz trying to follow what is said is punitive.

3. How should parents encourage their children to talk more?

I think fathers and mothers should be good listeners. More specifically, they should practice listening patiently to their children talking. By doing this, the young ones would feel validated, and would in turn be motivated to open up more to at least their parents.

4. How should people encourage children to express themselves when being asked questions that they are afraid to answer?

Not a clear question – does it mean encouraging children to conquer fear or to just admit they don’t want to answer?

5. On what occasion do you think a child should talk less than usual?

One instance when a child should be more short-spoken is when people the child is with need to concentrate. Failing to do this, children would infuriate such people, and end up incurring their wrath.

6. What jobs need employees to be talkative?

One job that requires people to do a lot of talking is standup comedians, as they have to hold shows for hours, spending most of the time talking to entertain the audience. Another profession that needs people to enjoy talking is MCs, or masters of ceremonies. This is because they are expected to approach many guests, talk to them and keep the conversations flowing effortlessly.
