Do you think it is more important for an employee to keep good relationships
with colleagues than just focus on the work?
1. Should children be encouraged to learn from their peers?
Yeah, absolutely! Kids should definitely be encouraged to learn from their peers. I think they pick up a lot from each other, like social skills and teamwork because they’re more likely to share the same culture, or hobbies. Plus, when they see their friends doing something well, it can really motivate them to try harder too. It’s a natural and effective way for them to grow and develop.
- pick up (v): học cái gì từ ai
2. What difficulties or problems would introverted people face in work or study?
Introverted people might struggle a bit with group activities or speaking up in meetings and classes. They might find it hard to put themselves out there and share their ideas, which can be frustrating if they have good contributions to make. Also, public functions like luncheons, seminars, or panel discussions can be quite draining for them, which might impact their ability to build professional relationships.
- draining (a): mệt mỏi
3. How can a person be a good co-worker?
To be a good co-worker, you should be reliable and supportive. This means doing your part of the work well and on time, and being willing to help others when they need it. Communication is also key, so being clear and respectful in your interactions goes a long way. And of course, having a positive attitude and being easy to get along with can really make the workplace a better environment for everyone. At the end of the day, work is where you spend 8 hours a day, why not make it an uplifting, easy breezy place?
- goes a long way (idiom): có vai trò quan trọng
- easy to get along with (a): dễ làm bạn với
4. What makes a good employee?
A good employee is someone who’s dependable, proactive, and a team player. They should be those who take initiative, solve problems, and are always looking for ways to improve. They also communicate well and are adaptable to changes. Plus, having a positive attitude and being able to work well with others is super important. It’s about being competent at your job and also contributing to a positive workplace culture.

- team player (n): người làm việc được với người khác
- initiative (n): sáng kiến
- adaptable (a): dễ thích nghi
- being competent at (a): có năng lực
- workplace culture (n): văn hoá công ty
5. How can people improve their collaboration skills?
Improving collaboration skills starts with good communication. Being clear and open with your team about what you’re working on and where you might need help is crucial. You don’t really wanna be a loner or a solo fighter in a joint effort. Also, learning to listen respectedly and actively to others and being willing to compromise are also crucial in promoting collaboration. Participating in team activities and projects can also help you get better at working with others. At the end of the day, practice makes perfect, and team work is no exception.
- willing to compromise (a): sẵn sàng thoả hiệp/ sẵn sàng thay đổi quan điểm
6. Do you think it is more important for an employee to keep good relationships with colleagues than just focus on the work?
Yeah, I think having good relationships with colleagues is really the key. It makes the workplace more enjoyable and can actually make you more productive. When you get along with your colleagues, it’s easier to communicate and collaborate, which can lead to better, faster, more constructive results. Focusing just on the work is important too, but building those positive relationships can really enhance your overall work experience, job satisfaction and effectiveness.
