1. Is it important to take photos while traveling?
Absolutely! Capturing photos of your journey can add a new layer to your experiences, in the sense that it gives you souvenirs of beautiful moments from your trips. This means that even after you’re home, you could still reminisce about those memories and relive them again through photos. However, I think it’s important that we don’t become too caught up in taking pictures to the point that we forget to live in those moments as they happen.
- souvenirs: đồ lưu niệm
- reminisce: hồi tưởng lại
2. Can you trust other people’s travel journals on the internet?
Well, I haven’t got much experience with travel journals so I can’t really say if they’re trustworthy or not. I mean, of course, some writers may exaggerate certain details about their experiences in a destination, probably because it’s a form of paid promotion. I suppose there are truthful journals online that provide accurate depictions of people’s travels, but since you can never know for sure, maybe it’s best to take everything you read online with a grain of salt.
- trustworthy: đáng tin
- exaggerate: nói quá
- depictions: miêu tả
3. What factors affect how people feel about traveling?
There are multiple factors I could list. For one, you have monetary constraints. If a destination is well within one’s budget, they’re much more likely to find that place attractive and would want to go there, and vice versa.
There is also the matter of whether their traveling interests are aligned with the destination. For example, a person who wants new experiences would find a faraway country with an exotic culture to be a more likely destination than a country with a familiar culture and history.
On top of that, the company one keeps is also a factor. Traveling with people who have similar interests or your friends can greatly enhance the travel experience, as opposed to being with incompatible travel buddies.
- monetary constraints: hạn chế tiền tệ
- vice versa: ngược lại
- aligned: phù hợp với
4. Will you go to a foreign country to travel because of the distinct landscape?
Well if it is drastically different from the city landscape that I’m used to, then the answer is a definite yes. I’ve always wanted to get away from the concrete jungle, mostly because I’m fed up with it. I’d love to travel to a foreign country that offers amazing and breathtaking natural sceneries, such as majestic mountains and scenic lakes, as they make me feel reinvigorated. Besides, sightseeing is a crucial part of traveling so of course I’d love to go to a place for the landscape, especially when it is unique.
- drastically: quyết liệt
- concrete: bê tông
- reinvigorated: được tiếp thêm sinh lực
5. How can tourists have a good travel experience?
Well, the key to nailing the perfect travel experience is to do your research. Before going to a new city or country, you should always check the reviews of previous travelers to see what the vibe’s like, what kind of prices you’re going to pay, what are some of the attractions you could visit, and so on. This could help you decide on a suitable destination, which ensures you don’t have a terrible experience, and you can also find out about the negatives, like tourist traps or scams you might come across as well.
Another tip is to truly immerse yourself in the local culture. You shouldn’t just stick to the regular famous tourist attractions. Instead, go somewhere off the beaten track, where the locals frequent and experience the essence of the city from their perspective. This would make your experience immensely more authentic.
- immerse yourself : đắm mình
- beaten track: con đường mòn
6. What kinds of comments do travelers typically leave online after a trip?
Well, first, you have rave reviews giving compliments to the travel company, sharing a positive experience, or recommending activities to try out. But there are also negative comments, criticizing terrible service or giving suggestions or improvements in terms of attracting tourists
Some travelers also give others pointers on how to recognize a scam and avoid losing money, or where and how to find the hidden gems in a destination that are not well-known to the average tourist.
