1. What kinds of markets are there in Vietnam?
Well, in Vietnam, we’ve got all sorts of markets! There are the traditional street markets where you can find everything from fresh produce to clothes and gadgets. Then, we’ve got the night markets, which are super lively and great for street food and souvenirs. And of course, there are the big indoor markets and supermarkets, where you can get pretty much anything under one roof.
2. Do you think small markets will disappear in the future?
Hmm, it’s hard to say for sure, but I reckon small markets might stick around. They’ve got this charm and vibe that you just can’t find in big shopping malls. Plus, there are always people who prefer the personal touch and the community feel of small markets.
- to stick around: to stay somewhere for a period of time: ở lại
3. Have people’s shopping habits changed in recent years?
Oh, definitely! With everything going online these days, people’s shopping habits have definitely changed. More and more consumers are ordering stuff online, from groceries to clothes. It’s just so convenient, you can shop from the comfort of your couch!
4. What are the differences between shopping in street markets and big shopping malls?
Oh, there are loads of differences! Street markets are all about the hustle and bustle, bargaining with the vendors, and discovering hidden gems. Whereas, in big shopping malls, it’s more about convenience and variety. Plus, malls usually have everything air-conditioned and fancy, while street markets are more raw and authentic.
5. Do you think the goods sold at discount stores do not have good values or qualities?
Hmm, I don’t think that’s necessarily true. Sure, discount stores might have cheaper prices, but that doesn’t mean the quality is bad. Sometimes you can find real bargains and good deals if you know where to look.
- a bargain: something on sale at a lower price than its real value: mặc cả
6. Why do some people like to buy expensive goods?
Well, there could be a few reasons. Some people might buy expensive goods for the prestige or status it brings. Others might believe that higher price equals higher quality, so they’re willing to splurge. And let’s face it, sometimes you just want to treat yourself to something fancy, you know?
- to splurge: to spend a lot of money buying something: tiêu tiền thoải mái
