1. Why are traditional products important?
The reasons vary. Firstly, they represent the significant features of the regions. By that I mean, they can be weather conditions, culture or history. For example, green beans prefer warm weather, so they can be easily seen in tropical countries like Vietnam. Secondly, traditional products can be sold to visitors, which provides a source of income for the locals. As mentioned, each region offers something different from what can be found in the tourists’ home countries, so they’re likely to buy some specialities when travelling.

2. Do you think tradition is important for a country? Why?
Yes, I do. Tradition has been formed through centuries of history. It reflects what the country has been through, and also what the ancestors want descendants to maintain. In Asia, children are taught to respect older people. I understand Western children learn the same thing but somehow it is a bigger issue here. Besides, tradition partly contributes to the locals’ identity. This leads to a sense of belonging, when each person knows that they belong to a people.
Finally, tradition is one of the most important features differentiating various nations. Take the wedding ceremony as an example. While couples in Asia have their wedding organized at home or in a restaurant, Christians celebrate their big day in a Church. The diversity of cultures has made the world a better place to live, especially for people who are eager to explore differences among countries.

3. What are the traditional Vietnamese products?
Vietnam is very famous for its cuisine. Mid-Autumn festival is around the corner, so Moon Cake has just come to my mind. It is a round-shaped cake with various Vietnamese floral patterns on the surface. In addition, Vietnamese dress is also something that appeals to me very much. It can be seen in quite a lot of movies including some from Hollywood. I suppose that the dress could be considered one of the symbols of Vietnamese culture.

4. Why is it important for children to learn about traditional products?
The way I see it, tradition needs to be preserved from generation to generation. And one of the ways is to teach children about traditional products. They’re gonna know where they come from, what specialties they have within the country, partly contributing to their identity when they become grown-ups. Additionally, some of the children are inclined to take an interest in some traditional products which can be their future careers. When they are able to earn big money from these, tradition, at the same time, lives on.
