1. What are the advantages of water transportation?
There are a number of advantages of water transport, like boats and ships. The obvious benefit is that they are way cheaper than other modes of transportation because they have the capacity to carry large and heavy cargos, so they can save a great deal on fuel costs. On top of that, water transports create very little or no traffic congestion, and they create very little air pollution in comparison to road transportation and aircraft carriers.
2. Why do people like to live near water?
People prefer to live in a town or city that is located near a river or the sea primarily because having a sea/river port can facilitate more and more business transactions, so help improve the socio-economic condition of that particular city. Besides, having a river or ocean close to a city ensures pleasant weather conditions most of the time, I think water offers a sense of tranquility and relaxation, creating a peaceful environment.
3. What kinds of water sports are popular nowadays?
There are many water sports that are popular nowadays. As far as I’m concerned, swimming is the only and most prevalent water sport in Vietnam. It is not only a fun and refreshing way to cool off on a hot day, but it is also a great way to improve overall fitness and endurance. For example, swimming is a major event in the Summer Olympics, with athletes competing in a variety of events, including freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly.
4. Do you think it is good to teach swimming in schools?
Yes, I think swimming should be included in the school curriculum. Simply because swimming is vital for students’ survival. It helps reduce the risk of drowning accidents and equips individuals with essential knowledge for a lifetime of aquatic activities.
Moreover, swimming is not only a valuable life skill but also promotes physical fitness and water safety. It instills confidence, builds strength, and encourages teamwork. By introducing swimming as part of the school curriculum, students have the opportunity to learn a vital skill that can enhance their overall well-being.
5. What do you think of the people who waste water?
I believe that people who waste water should be more mindful of their actions. Water is a precious resource, and wasting it is not only environmentally irresponsible but also disregards the needs of others. It’s important to educate individuals about water conservation and encourage responsible usage. By adopting simple habits like fixing leaks, using water-saving devices, and practicing conscious water consumption, we can contribute to a sustainable future and ensure equitable access to this vital resource.
