Part 3

1. What can children learn from parents?

Indeed, youngsters are able to learn most things from their guardians. First, they imitate parents’ behavior, so the way parents behave can actually shape their children’s manner. On top of that, children’s initial perception of the surrounding world, including human interaction, ecological matters and cultural awareness, is also likely to be influenced by how their parents see the world.

  • guardians: người giám hộ
  • children’s initial perception: nhận thức ban đầu của trẻ
  • ecological matters: vấn đề sinh thái

2. Do you think some children are well-behaved because they are influenced by their parents?

I suppose so. There are a number of factors that could be attributed to children’s good conduct, such as family relationships, cultural expectations and the child’s own experiences. However, I would say that parents’ behavior should be considered a prevalent contributor as they are the ones who the child spends most of their time with, and it is also believed that youngsters have a tendency to imitate what their parents do.

  • prevalent contributor: người đóng góp phổ biển
  • tendency: xu hướng

3. Is it necessary for adults to learn new things?

Why not? People should never stop learning, and there are two primary reasons for that. For one thing, most adults will eventually become parents one day, so gaining new knowledge allows them to get well-prepared for their future parenthood. In fact, a child whose parents are well-informed benefits a great deal since they are likely to grow up educated and have higher academic attainment compared to other peers. Another reason is that learning new things does benefit adults on a personal level as it helps keep their mind engaged and body active all the time.

  • parenthood: làm cha mẹ
  • well-informed: có đầy đủ thông tin
  • academic attainment: thành tích học tập

4. How can people learn new things?

People acquire new knowledge and skills in several different ways. Indeed, they can literally learn anything from multimedia items such as books, magazines and articles of related topics. This way, learners can absorb new understanding of various subjects at minimum cost. Another more practical way of learning is physically experiencing the matters themselves, however, this learning approach entails risks of accidents and failures, which is why it doesn’t sound attractive enough for many people.
