- Where do you think people usually come into contact with beautiful things?

1. Why do many people go to scenic spots in person instead of just reading about them in books?
I think people prefer visiting scenic spots in person because they want to experience the beauty firsthand. Reading or looking at pictures can only give you an idea, but when you’re actually there, you can feel the atmosphere, breathe the fresh air, and see everything in 3D with your own eyes. It also gives people a chance to disconnect from their daily routine and enjoy nature or architecture in a more meaningful way.
- scenic spots – điểm tham quan đẹp
- experience firsthand – trải nghiệm trực tiếp
- disconnect from routine – tạm rời khỏi thói quen hàng ngày
2. Do people in your country prefer listening to music to appreciating paintings and literature?
In general, I think most people in Vietnam prefer listening to music, especially young people. Music is easier to access and doesn’t require as much time or effort to enjoy. While there are still many people who enjoy reading literature or visiting art galleries, those activities tend to attract a smaller, more niche audience. Music is just more universal and immediate.
- universal and immediate – phổ biến và dễ tiếp cận
- niche audience – nhóm người quan tâm đặc biệt
3. Where do you think people usually come into contact with beautiful things?
People come across beautiful things in many places—parks, art museums, social media, or even their daily surroundings. Nowadays, with platforms like Instagram and Pinterest, people are constantly exposed to visual content, from beautiful clothes to landscapes and design. But in real life, people might find beauty in small things too, like a sunset, a flower, or a well-decorated café.
- sunset/flower/well-decorated café – hoàng hôn/hoa/quán cà phê trang trí đẹp
4. Why do you think people create beautiful things?
I believe people create beautiful things as a way of expressing themselves and bringing joy to others. It’s a form of communication that goes beyond words. Creating beauty can also be a way to preserve culture, evoke emotions, or even send a message about the world. Plus, beautiful things make life more enjoyable and meaningful.
- expressing themselves – thể hiện bản thân
- evoke emotions – gợi lên cảm xúc
5. What beautiful scenery spots are there in your country?
Vietnam has so many breathtaking places. Some of the most famous are Hạ Long Bay, with its limestone islands, Sapa with terraced rice fields and mountains, and Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park with its caves and underground rivers. We also have beautiful beaches like Đà Nẵng and Nha Trang, and historical cities like Hội An, which are charming and well-preserved.
- breathtaking – ngoạn mục
6. Do you think there are more beautiful things now than in the past? Why?
That’s an interesting question. I think there are more man-made beautiful things now, like modern architecture, fashion, and digital art, because technology and design have developed so quickly. However, when it comes to natural beauty, many people feel that things were better in the past, since urbanization and pollution have damaged many natural areas. So, in a way, we have more access to beauty now, but maybe we’ve lost some authentic, untouched beauty too.
- untouched beauty – vẻ đẹp nguyên sơ
