Why do old friends lose touch with each other
Do you think you are good at maintaining good relationships with others?
Would having just a few friends limit your horizons?
Is it better to have a lot of friends than just a few friends?

1. Why do we have to give up some old friends?

As time passes and we evolve, it’s natural for our friendships to change. We may find ourselves drifting apart from old friends because our values or interests no longer align. This doesn’t necessarily mean there’s any conflict or resentment, but simply that our paths have diverged.

  • Drift apart: dần dần xa cách (v)
  • Values: giá trị quan (n)
  • Interests: sở thích (n)
  • Conflict: xung đột (n)
  • Resentment: sự oán giận (n)

2. Why do people need to make new friends?

Humans are social creatures who thrive on connections and interactions. Building new friendships can broaden our horizons, introduce us to new perspectives, and provide a sense of belonging. Additionally, having a diverse network of friends can be beneficial for both personal and professional growth.

  • Social creatures: sinh vật xã hội (n)
  • Connections: mối liên hệ (n)
  • Interactions: sự tương tác (n)
  • Belonging: cảm giác thuộc về (n)

3. Why do old friends lose touch with each other?

There are several reasons why old friends may lose touch. One common factor is that people often take different paths in life, pursuing different careers, education, or relationships. These divergent paths can make it difficult to maintain regular contact. Additionally, as we get older, our priorities and schedules may change, making it harder to find time for friendships.

  • Careers: nghề nghiệp (n)
  • Education: giáo dục (n)
  • Relationships: mối quan hệ (n)
  • Priorities: ưu tiên (n)
  • Schedules: lịch trình (n)

4. Do you think you are good at maintaining good relationships with others?

I believe I am reasonably good at maintaining relationships, but it certainly takes effort. As we get older, our lives become busier, and it can be challenging to find time for socializing. However, I try to make a conscious effort to prioritize the people who are important to me and to schedule regular check-ins.

  • Prioritize: ưu tiên (v)
  • Schedule: lên lịch (v)

5. Would having just a few friends limit your horizons?

I believe that having a diverse network of friends is beneficial, as it can expose us to different perspectives and experiences. However, I also think that it’s important to have a small inner circle of close friends who you can rely on and trust. Having a strong foundation of deep friendships can provide a sense of security and support

  • Security: sự an toàn (n)
  • Support: hỗ trợ (n)

6. Is it better to have a lot of friends than just a few friends?

I think the ideal situation is to have a combination of both. A large network of friends can provide opportunities for learning, growth, and socialization. However, having a small group of close friends who you can count on is equally important. It’s about finding the right balance that works for you.
