1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of eating in restaurants?
One inevitable drawback is that it might cost a fortune to eat in restaurants, especially fancy ones; also, customers can only eat to the chefs’ way of seasoning, which might annoy some. Regarding benefits, people wouldn’t have to think and conceptualize a meal, particularly when it is for more than one. And, there is no need to take care of the after-cleaning, which to some people is probably their worst nightmare.
2. What fast food are there in your country?
In Vietnam, we don’t specialize on fast food, but we have our version of sandwiches; banh mi, which is arguably the best sandwich in the world. Of course, we do have worldwide fast food chains, like KFC, McDonalds or Burger King, but they do not have the same level of market share as they do in Western countries.
3. Do people eat fast food at home?
Yes, for tons of reasons actually. I mean, some people are more comfortable eating at home, maybe because they can scoff their burgers without being noticed. Another reason is that they might be preparing a party at home, so they just come to a fast food chain.
4. Why do some people choose to eat out instead of ordering takeout?
Maybe they want a fresh breath of air, or perhaps they just want to get out of their house, to go socialise or watch a movie after a meal in a restaurant.
Yes we do, especially during special occasions like birthdays.
5. Do people in your country value food culture?
Definitely. Vietnamese people have a strong sense of pride for their food, and we are proud of what we serve to our international friends. I mean, we have a rich history when it comes to food, and the way we optimise our ingredients to the fullest is why we are highly regarded in the world when it comes to food.
