Sample 1: I use it in almost everything, I can’t imagine a life without it. Of course, I need my computer for work to research, answer emails and edit documents. When I’m off the clock, I often mindlessly scroll through my newsfeed and download some free Powerpoint templates.

Sample 2: Well, I use my laptop mostly for work. I don’t use computers excessively because I know sitting in front of electronic gadgets can make my lifestyle sedentary. For entertainment purposes, I use my smartphone.

2. When was the first time you used a computer?
Sample 1: It was during one of my ICT classes. I was in awe when I learned what a computer could do. I could stare at it for hours on end.

Sample 2: I remember vividly when I passed the university entrance exam with flying colors; my mom bought me a laptop which was a cutting-edge one at that time. The first thing I did with it was learn how to type.

3. What would your life be like without computers?
Sample 1: It’s unthinkable in the information age. I guess I would be miserable because I would have to handwrite pages of lesson plans, send mails manually. What would pain me the most is that I could no longer play my favorite games.

Sample 2: It would be so difficult to live a life without computers. I couldn’t use my computer for numerous purposes, such as making video calls to my friends, doing my work, and doing online shopping.

4. In what conditions would it be difficult for you to use a computer?
Sample 1: It will be challenging for me to sit in front of a computer after a long working day. After work, my eyes are usually sore, my back will hurt and my mind cannot function properly to know what I am even doing.

Sample 2: I would say, making notes, it is just not as smooth as I do it with my pen and paper. So when I am reading some papers, I would rather print them out and make notes on the hard copies.
