Câu trả lời mẫu (Sample Answer)
1. Do you meet new people more often now than in the past?
I would say I encounter new people more frequently now than I used to. As I’ve become more involved in professional settings and social activities, I’ve naturally expanded my network. Whether it’s meeting clients at work, attending workshops, or even joining online communities, I get the chance to interact with people from diverse backgrounds almost on a weekly basis. This exposure has helped me improve my communication skills and broaden my worldview.
- encounter new people: gặp gỡ người mới
- expand one’s network: mở rộng mối quan hệ
- diverse backgrounds: nền tảng đa dạng
2. Do you enjoy talking to new people?
Yes, I genuinely find it enjoyable to strike up a conversation with someone I’ve never met before. Although I can be a little reserved at first, I appreciate the opportunity to learn about different cultures, lifestyles, and opinions. Engaging with strangers often leads to thought-provoking discussions or even lasting friendships. Plus, it helps me become more confident in social situations.
- strike up a conversation: bắt chuyện
- reserved: dè dặt, kín đáo
- thought-provoking: kích thích tư duy
- lasting friendships: tình bạn lâu dài
3. Where can you meet new people?
There are countless places where people can make new connections these days. In my experience, educational environments, workplace settings, networking events, and even volunteer programs are great venues. Social media and online forums also play a huge role nowadays. Personally, I’ve met several interesting individuals at language exchange meetups and community clubs.
- venue: địa điểm tổ chức
- language exchange meetup: buổi giao lưu ngôn ngữ
4. Do you like meeting new people?
Generally speaking, yes. I find it both refreshing and stimulating. Each new person I meet brings something to the table – a unique story, perspective, or skill set. While it can sometimes feel a bit daunting, especially in unfamiliar environments, I’ve come to view these interactions as opportunities to learn and grow. It also encourages me to step out of my comfort zone, which keeps life dynamic and full of surprises.
- step out of one’s comfort zone: bước ra khỏi vùng an toàn
- bring something to the table: đóng góp điều gì đó
5. How often do you meet new people? (Why?)
Quite often, actually. My current job involves working with new students and teachers constantly, and I also attend numerous workshops and educational events. I enjoy meeting new people because it gives me the chance to widen my knowledge and grow personally.
- workshops: hội thảo
- widen one’s knowledge: mở rộng kiến thức
- grow personally: phát triển bản thân
6. Do you find it easy to talk to new people? (Why/Why not?)
Most of the time, yes – I find myself quite open and friendly. I am always the one who asks questions that don’t have a right or wrong answer and shows genuine interest in the conversation, which is a great way to break the ice. There are still exceptions, of course, because whether I can carry a conversation also depends on whether the other person is approachable and in the mood to talk.
- genuine interest: sự quan tâm chân thành
- carry a conversation: duy trì cuộc trò chuyện
- in the mood: có tâm trạng
7. When you meet someone for the first time, how do you know if you like them?
I normally pay attention to the way they communicate – like their voice or gestures – and the way they respond in a conversation with me. When someone presents themself as friendly and respectful, I would likely hold a positive view towards them. But every so often, my gut feeling can also be a deciding factor.
- present oneself: thế hiện bản thân
- hold a positive view: có cái nhìn tích cực
- gut feeling: linh tính, trực giác
8. Do you worry about what people you meet think of you? (Why/Why not?)
Yes, I remember the sleepless nights overthinking about such thoughts when I was young, but now it is nothing of the sort. I realized that paying attention to how everyone views me is not something I wish to bear in mind constantly, so I just stay true to myself. If people appreciate my presence, it will be great – and if not, then that’s fine by me, too.
- nothing of the sort: không còn như vậy
- bear in mind: ghi nhớ
- stay true to oneself: sống thật với bản thân
