Câu trả lời mẫu (Sample Answer) Mirror IELTS Speaking Part 1
1. Do you like looking at yourself in the mirror? How often?
I check myself out in the mirror everyday; I think it’s the first thing a lot of people do when they get in the bathroom cause normally we would have a plane mirror over the sink, right? So I think when any of us has to go wash-up, brush our teeth or simply just walk past the sink we would unconsciously take a glance at ourselves in the mirror. I work as a teacher and I have to be in front of a lot of people, so I want to look presentable. That’s why I have to look in the mirror to make sure my hair is tidy, my face is groomed and my clothes are not wrinkled.
- check myself out in the mirror: kiểm tra bản thân mình trong gương
- plane mirror: gương cầm tay
- take a glance at ourselves: nhìn lại bản thân mình trong gương
- presentable: đoan trang
2. Have you ever bought mirrors?
No I don’t think I have. I think I have replaced the rearview mirror of my motorbike once, I’m not sure if that counts. But in general I’ve never purchased any mirror for the purpose of checking myself out.
- rearview mirror: gương chiếu hậu
- checking myself out: soi bản thân trong gương
3. Do you usually take a mirror with you?
No, I don’t. I am conscious but not too obsessed with my look, I also don’t wear make-up so I think having a compact mirror is redundant. Of course there are times in which I need to see myself in the mirror, in those times I just use the front camera of my smartphone or see my reflection in the windows or glass doors of cars or buildings that I pass by.
- obsessed with my look: quá quan tâm về vẻ bề ngoài của bản thân
- compact mirror: gương nhỏ gọn
- front camera: camera trước
- reflection: sự phản xạ
4. Would you use mirrors to decorate your room?
Well, I’ve never thought of it but I think it’ll be a useful decorative piece. It’ll definitely add a feeling of spaciousness and elegance to a room if installed properly so yeah I think I would.
- decorative piece: vật dụng trang trí
- spaciousness: rộng rãi
