1. Are you good at art?
I don’t see myself as the artsy type. I mean, I used to take drawing lessons as a child but then I realized at some point in my life that I don’t have a knack for this kind of craft, and so I gave up altogether. That being said, I still try scribbling some light-hearted doodles here and there, most of which draw heavy inspiration from the comics I read in my free time.

2. Do you often visit art galleries?
I’m a bit of a culture vulture, and so I’m always on the lookout for the newest art showcases in my city. There is only a handful, though, since most of the galleries in Hanoi feature archaic exhibits and historical-themed artworks, which are pretty boring to me. As with most people my age, I prefer looking at curated collections of modern art, and the Vincom Center for Contemporary Art near my house can provide just the experience.

3. What kinds of paintings do people like?
To be honest, aesthetic preference is something that can vary from person to person. But something we can all agree on is that paintings from the Renaissance like the Mona Lisa are indeed the most well-liked, either for their unmatched virtuoso or for their timeless appeal. That is not the case for me, though, because as I said, I prefer pieces that have an avant-garde feel to them.

Absolutely, I do have a thing for art.
I truly appreciate art in its various forms, whether it be painting, drawing or dancing. Art has a unique way of expressing emotions, thoughts, and creativity, which I find fascinating and inspiring.
5. Do you want to be an artist?
Not really, to be honest.
While I admire artists and their talents, my passion lies in understanding and appreciating art rather than creating it. I believe everyone has their own strengths, and mine align more with understanding and interpreting artistic expressions. I am a big fan of going to art galleries and museums to admire exquisite works of art.

I appreciate both modern and traditional art forms. Traditional art often carries a rich cultural and historical significance, while modern art pushes the boundaries of creativity and challenges conventional norms. Each has its unique appeal, and I enjoy exploring the diversity within the art world.
