2. Bài mẫu (Sample Answer)
Nowadays, children engage in sports in different ways. In my view, this trend is largely a positive development because both approaches bring valuable benefits to children’s growth.
To begin with, children who pursue sports competitively tend to develop exceptional levels of discipline and perseverance. Competitive training often requires them to follow a rigorous sports schedule, which helps build strong time-management skills and mental resilience. Moreover, serious involvement in sports can open doors to future opportunities such as sports scholarships or even professional careers. For example, many successful swimmers and gymnasts began intensive training at a young age and benefited greatly from early exposure to structured practice.
On the other hand, children who participate in sports casually also gain important advantages. Playing sports recreationally allows them to stay active without facing the pressure of competition. This contributes to better physical and mental well-being, helping them relieve stress from academic work. Additionally, casual participation gives children more time to explore various interests and maintain a balanced lifestyle, rather than focusing solely on athletic performance.

Both paths encourage an active lifestyle, reduce sedentary habits, and promote social interaction. Although competitive sports may involve risks such as injuries or burnout, these can be minimized through proper coaching and parental support.
