Câu trả lời mẫu (Sample Answer)
1. Do you want to be a teacher in the future?
To be upfront with you, I’ve given it some thought in the past, but I don’t believe it’s the right career path for me. I have immense admiration for teachers – it’s an incredibly demanding profession that requires not only unwavering patience, but also deep empathy and commitment. The idea of shaping young minds and guiding students through their development is certainly inspiring, but I’m not sure I have the right temperament to manage a classroom full of energetic kids or adolescents! That being said, I do enjoy mentoring in more informal environments. For instance, I’ve had the opportunity to support younger colleagues at work, and I really find fulfillment in nurturing their growth and sharing my knowledge. So, while I may possess some teaching inclinations, I don’t envision myself as a full-time teacher.
- demanding profession: nghề nghiệp đòi hỏi cao
- unwavering patience: sự kiên nhẫn không lay chuyển
- nurturing their growth: nuôi dưỡng sự phát triển của họ
- inclinations: xu hướng, thiên hướng
2. Do you have a teacher from your past that you still remember?
Absolutely! One teacher in particular truly stands out in my memory—my high school literature teacher, Thanh My. She had an exceptional ability to bring stories to life. Instead of simply focusing on the technicalities of literature, such as grammar or sentence structure, she encouraged us to think critically about the profound themes and underlying messages embedded in the books we read. What really resonated with me, though, was her capacity to connect with each student on a personal level. She took the time to understand us individually, making sure everyone felt seen and heard in her classroom. Even now, I often reflect on the lessons she taught me, which extended far beyond literature and encompassed valuable life lessons.
- technicalities: các chi tiết kỹ thuật
- profound themes: các chủ đề sâu sắc
- resonated with me: gây ấn tượng sâu sắc với tôi
3. Are you still in touch with your primary school teachers?
Not really, I am not currently in touch with my primary school teachers, but I deeply value the influence they had on me during those formative years. While the passage of time and geographical distance have made it challenging to maintain contact, the lessons they imparted have stayed with me. They were instrumental in shaping my attitude towards learning and instilled in me a genuine sense of curiosity. Despite the lack of communication, their positive impact continues to resonate in my personal and professional life.
- Formative years: giai đoạn hình thành, phát triển
- Impart: truyền đạt
- Resonate: vang vọng, có ảnh hưởng mạnh mẽ
4. In what way has your favorite teacher helped you?
My favorite teacher, Mrs. Nguyen, had an immeasurable impact on my development. She taught English literature and had a unique ability to bring stories to life, making lessons both engaging and thought-provoking. Her patience, encouragement, and unwavering belief in my abilities helped me overcome my fear of public speaking by encouraging me to participate in debates and school plays. This newfound confidence not only improved my academic performance but also laid the foundation for strong communication skills that have benefitted me throughout my life.
- Thought-provoking: kích thích suy nghĩ, gợi suy tư
- Unwavering: không lay chuyển, kiên định
5. Do you have a favorite teacher?
Yes, I do have a favorite teacher. Mr. Dat, who taught mathematics, was a source of inspiration throughout my high school years. Unlike the stereotypical strict math teacher, he had a warm, approachable demeanor and a remarkable talent for simplifying complex concepts. He would often employ real-life examples to explain abstract theories, making the subject accessible and enjoyable. Mr. Dat’s dedication and enthusiasm sparked my love for mathematics, and he served as a role model for perseverance and creativity in problem-solving. His influence continues to shape the way I approach challenges today.
- Stereotypical: rập khuôn, mang tính khuôn mẫu
- Demeanor: tác phong, cách cư xử, thái độ
