2. Bài mẫu
The maps illustrate how the ground floor of a building was redeveloped over three different stages, from 1958 to the present day.
Overall, the building experienced two major conversions, first from an office into an apartment and later into a flower shop. Despite these extensive renovations, the entrance and the kitchen remained in their original positions throughout the entire period.
In 1958, the building served as an office. Visitors entered from the southern side, with a reception area immediately to the right and the manager’s office located beside it. The kitchen occupied the northeastern corner, while a meeting room was situated directly opposite. South of the meeting room were the assistant’s and secretary’s offices, whereas a toilet was positioned to the left of the entrance.
By 1985, the layout had been adapted for residential use. Although the entrance and kitchen were left untouched, the reception and manager’s office were removed to make way for two bedrooms. The former meeting room and assistant’s office were merged into a spacious living room, while the toilet was enlarged and converted into a combined bathroom and shower.
From 2001 onwards, the building became a flower shop. The two bedrooms were repurposed as a flower display area and an office in the southeastern part of the building. The kitchen and entrance remained unchanged, whereas the previous living room was replaced by a gift card section in the northwest. In addition, another flower display area and a children’s play area were introduced to the south of the gift card section, completing the new retail layout.
