The shift in other enrollment methods varied significantly by country. In Australia, direct, in-person enrollment grew to 35%, securing the second spot. Conversely, the use of agents saw a sharp decline, falling from 36% to a mere 22% by 2010.
The USA, on the other hand, showed the highest consistency. Besides from agent-based bookings growing slightly by 4% to reach 34%, other methods saw a marginal dip, ending the period at 22%. Canada experienced the most volatility. Agent-mediated bookings surged from 24% to a dominant 35%. This growth seemingly came at the expense of “bookings upon arrival,” which plummeted to just 11%. Notably, miscellaneous “other” methods nearly tripled in popularity, rising from 7% to 20%.
