1. What benefits does public transport bring to the world?
I believe public transport first contributes to global environmental protection. As it only releases a fraction of thick and dark exhaust fumes as personal vehicles, the air would be far less gray and dusty. Plus, mass transit helps keep the world’s traffic light and continuous, fitting the same number of commuters as passengers in such a compact cabin that would have been impossible otherwise.
2. Is it too late for people to get a driver’s license at the age of 18?
No, for me setting the minimum legal driving age at 18 is just right. It’s because drivers would be more mature, and thus less likely to drive in a way that endangers themselves and others. Most people I know who have turned 18 refuse to drink and drive, as they know they would fall asleep behind the wheel, and end up crashing into some pedestrians, sending them flying through the air.
3. What’s the difference between men’s and women’s preference for cars?
Since men are often adventurous by nature, they are fascinated by cars with big and powerful engines, which not only produce those excitingly loud and aggressive roars/vrooms but can also explode into a high speed, leaving others in their dust. As for women, what is on their wish lists is less performance, but more class, like my sister always obsessed with those Mercedes’ nice and shiny three-pointed stars on the outside.
4. What are the differences between bicycles and private cars?
Well, the most obvious difference is that the former have a cabin, while the latter does not, so bicyclists are often exposed to the elements while getting around. Bicycles also differ from cars in that it is much more compact in size, measuring only 80 cm across, so it can escape traffic jams by going through the map between two sides of a car. I saw a convoy of bikes ripping through a gridlock which held up cars the other day.
