- Khẳng định: Chính phủ rất cần thiết, nhưng người dân cũng không thể thiếu => cần sự phối hợp từ cả hai bên để bảo vệ môi trường hiệu quả
2. Bài mẫu Environmental protection responsibility (Sample)
A school of thought holds that environmental conservation should be the sole responsibility of the government, since individuals’ contributions to this endeavor are often considered negligible. While governmental regulation and management undeniably play a key role in addressing environmental challenges, I believe that the role of the public should not be overlooked.
On the one hand, the sheer scale and complexity of environmental problems may render individual efforts futile, particularly when compared to the colossal impacts of industrial facilities, which discharge millions of tons of toxic chemical waste and greenhouse gases into water bodies, the soil, and the atmosphere every year. For this reason, it is understandable that many place the blame on the industrial sector and depend entirely on governmental bodies to regulate these factories.
On the other hand, although the public may not directly manage or reduce environmental threats, there is still a wide range of actions through which they can indirectly — yet significantly — contribute to environmental efforts. For example, citizens can effectively and promptly report environmentally destructive practices, which helps minimize damage and supports the authorities in enforcing environmental regulations. Furthermore, as voters and activists, they can place pressure on the government to address urgent environmental issues through public campaigns or even protests. In addition, they play a key role in supervising administrative bodies in law enforcement and budget allocation, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and measures are implemented effectively.
Beyond these roles, I believe that in the long term, public awareness is a decisive factor in environmental conservation. Without a proper understanding of the urgency of the matter, more residents would continue to contaminate rivers with household waste, while company owners might pollute the air for profit and bribed administrators could ignore these violations, prioritizing personal gain over the well-being of society.
In conclusion, although governmental intervention is undoubtedly essential for tackling large-scale environmental problems, individuals also have an indispensable role to play. Their actions, awareness, and supervision can complement and reinforce government measures, creating a more comprehensive and sustainable approach to environmental protection. Therefore, conservation efforts should be regarded as a shared responsibility between political leaders and the public rather than the exclusive duty of either side.
