Part 1
Topic: Summer
Với phần 1, các bạn cần trả lời ngắn gọn từ một đến hai câu và tập trung vào nội dung chính của câu hỏi.
1. Is summer your favorite time of year?
Với câu hỏi này ta có thể trả lời theo hướng như sau nhé:
– Unfortunately, no.
– Summer in VN = boiling/scorching hot + humid -> drenched in sweat
– Exposed to sunlight -> health problems (dehydration, skin cancer)
- scorching hot: nóng như thiêu đốt
2. What do you do in summer when the weather’s very hot?
Để trả lời câu hỏi này, chúng ta có thể trả lời ngắn gọn bằng các hoạt động
– typical habits
– drink iced beverages -> quench the thirst
– put on an enormous amount of sunscreen -> protect the skin from the detrimental impacts of the UV rays in sunlight
- quench the thirst: làm dịu cơn khát
3. Do you go on holiday every summer?
(No): hectic schedules + financial hardships -> annual summer vacation = something too luxurious -> can’t afford
Part 2
Describe a luxury item you would like to own in the future
You should say:
What item you would like to own?
What this item looks like?
Why you would like to own this item?

1. What item you would like to own: Đầu tiên bạn cần chia sẻ một món đồ, một thứ mà bạn muốn sở hữu trong tương lai
Example: Birkin bag– Hermes (which is global/high-end fashion brand – initially specialized in leather goods -> expand into other fields: clothing, accessories, home decor)
2. What this item looks like? Bạn hãy mô tả những đặc điểm của vật này nhé
Example: It can be made from a variety of animal skins; labor-intensive & requires delicate craftsmanship.
- delicate craftsmanship: thủ công tinh tế, khéo léo
3. Why you would like to own this item?: Bạn nêu ra một số lý do mà bạn chọn chúng
Example:
+ aesthetically pleasing (đẹp về mặt thẩm mỹ); classic/timeless
+ rarity: not mass-produced; have to learn to appreciate the product, grow your patience

Topic: Expensive items
1. Which expensive items would many young people in your country like to buy?
Ta có thể dựa vào các ý sau để xây dựng câu trả lời
– Key: Obsessed with designer clothes/bags
– Reason:
+ Spending power of the Vietnamese youth = increasing exponentially
+ expensive clothings = not just for the look; often considered a token of wealth/class
– Conclusion
Topic: Rich People
6. In what ways might rich people use their money to help society?
– Become philanthropists/Create charity foundations
– Reason: many millionaires -> grew up in poverty/without means -> contribute, give a hand to people who shared their exp -> help them climb up the social rank
- philanthropists: các nhà hảo tâm
- climb up the social rank: nâng đân địa vị trong xã hội
