Câu trả lời mẫu (Sample Answer) Staying at home IELTS Speaking Part 1
1. Are you a person who likes to stay at home?
Well, now that I finally move out and have a place of my own, I actually enjoy staying home a lot. When I lived with my parents, I used to want to go out so much more, but now I just don’t. I really like my place and I did put a lot of effort into keeping it nice and tidy, so it makes sense that I want to stay.
- it makes sense that … : [một việc gì đó] là hợp lí, là dễ hiểu
2. What do you do when you stay at home?
Just random things, I guess. I like to fix things around the house, and the other day I just watched a Youtube video about how to change the draining filter in my washing machine. When I’m not doing things around the house I would just study, play video games, or listen to podcasts.
- around the house: xung quanh nhà
3. What is your favourite place at home?
I did divide my apartment into separate zones, and I guess I’m spending a lot time in the “playing zone”, my couch. Well, I don’t like to admit this, but once I sit down on that couch and pick up my phone, it feels like time has ceased to exist. When I invite friends over, we would sit on the couch watching Netflix and blabbering about our days, so that couch has seen a lot of fun memories too.
4. What did you often do at home as a child?
As a kid I loved spending time indoors. I could spend all day reading and building elaborate LEGO sets. And whenever I managed to lay my hands on a phone, I would play games all day. Mobile phones didn’t use to have a lot of games back then, and I remember playing this one game “Snake”. Basically, you control a snake with arrow keys, trying to eat as much as possible without crashing into its growing body.
- Managed to do sth: xoay xở để làm gì đó
5. Would you like to stay at home a lot in the future?
I definitely stay at home a lot now and going forward, I think I’ll keep doing that. I told people that I’m working on my Master’s degree and that I need to stay put for a while, but honestly, I just enjoy staying at home a lot. I have no problems going on vacations for months, but even then I would like to dedicate big chunks of my time indoors, just sitting down working on my projects.
- Going forward: in the future
- Stay put: stay in a place
