1. Why do people invite others to their homes or events?

People invite others over for various reasons. Some do it to strengthen relationships and maintain close connections with family and friends. Others enjoy hosting gatherings to celebrate special occasions like birthdays or weddings. In some cases, invitations are also a way to show hospitality and build new social or professional relationships.

  • invite sb over: mời ai đó sang nhà
  • strengthen relationships: củng cố mối quan hệ
  • hosting gatherings: tổ chức các buổi gặp mặt
  • special occasions: các dịp đặc biệt
  • hospitality: sự hiếu khách

2. Do people in your country like to invite others to their homes?

Yes, in my country, inviting guests to one’s home is quite common, especially for family gatherings or celebrations. People often have relatives and friends over for meals, tea, or festive occasions. However, in urban areas, busy lifestyles mean that people sometimes prefer meeting outside in restaurants or cafés instead of at home.

  • have sb over: mời ai đó sang nhà

3. What are the advantages of traveling with friends?

Traveling with friends can be a fantastic experience because it allows people to share costs, making trips more affordable. It also makes the journey more enjoyable, as friends can support each other, try new activities together, and create unforgettable memories. Additionally, having companions can provide a sense of security, especially when traveling to unfamiliar places.

  • affordable: rẻ
  • companions: người đồng hành
  • sense of security: cảm giác an toàn

4. What challenges might people face when traveling with friends?

Despite the benefits, traveling with friends can sometimes lead to conflicts due to differences in interests, budgets, or travel preferences. Some people might want to explore cultural sites, while others prefer relaxing by the pool. Another challenge is managing time efficiently, as different individuals have different routines and energy levels. Miscommunication or disagreements can sometimes cause tension during the trip.

  • cultural sites: di tích văn hóa
  • tension: áp lực, căng thẳng

5. How has technology changed the way people invite others to events?

Technology has made inviting others much easier and more convenient. Instead of sending formal invitations or making phone calls, people can now use social media, messaging apps, or online event platforms to organize a get-together. Event planning has also become more efficient, as hosts can send reminders, manage RSVPs, and even share event details like locations and schedules online.

  • get-together: buổi gặp mặt

6. Do you think face-to-face interactions are becoming less common due to online communication?

Yes, to some extent, due to the rise of digital communication. Many people prefer texting or video calling over meeting in person, especially when they have busy schedules. However, in-person interactions remain important for building strong relationships, and people still value social gatherings, family events, and personal meetings despite the convenience of online communication.
