1.3. Dàn bài chi tiết
Introduction (Mở bài)
Conclusion (Kết bài)
2. Bài mẫu
Due to ever-shifting lifestyles and schedules, the eating habits of modern-day people are changing fast, which has inadvertently led to multiple health-related issues. While I believe fast-food consumption and a shrinking personal time after work are two main reasons for this, I also think the damage done by unhealthy eating habits is both preventable and reversible.
To begin with, modern people’s eating habits and food consumption have been profoundly shaped by the availability of fast-food chains. Today, dozens of fast food chains can be found in any developing economy, with hundreds of stores in any major city. While they offer a time-saving solution for dining, these restaurants gradually instill in people’s minds more reasons to finish a meal in under 15 minutes, since food like burgers and sandwiches is not designed to be savored over a prolonged period. Eaters are more likely to chew and swallow food faster because fast-food stalls and restaurants are mostly busy, noisy, and uncomfortable to dine in for long. This eating habit can be a culprit behind many people’s struggle with digestive upset and overeating. As fast-food chains like McDonald’s and KFC flourish, the food they offer also becomes a staple in many households. People today, including an unsurprisingly large proportion of urban children, are exceedingly familiar with and comfortable around the idea of consuming burgers, fried chicken, or finger food like apple pie and sausages weekly. Not only are these foods calorie-dense, but they are also mostly processed or ultra-processed food, meaning they may not be made with ingredients found in a kitchen. Excessive consumption of these food items can prove detrimental in the long run, for it can increase one’s likelihood of getting diabetes, childhood obesity, and high blood pressure. People today are also more inclined to skip meals and resort to unhealthy food options due to their busy schedules. To make ends meet in an ever more expensive world, many people are propelled to take on multiple jobs or work overtime, which easily infringes on their personal time. For people with children, the work-life balance is even harder to keep. Consequently, cooking and eating properly have become time-consuming, which encourages many people to skip meals or order fast, nutritionally poor food options. This neglect of nutrition can result in chronic health issues including diabetes, weight loss, or uncontrolled weight gain.
As damaging as the aforementioned unhealthy eating habits can be, I believe there are measures to prevent and reverse their negative effects. To depend less on fast food and to make home-cooked meals more accessible to everyone, the government should subsidize the production and the price of household food staples, such as vegetables, meats, eggs, and legumes. This can make cooking more accessible and affordable. The authority can also consider increasing taxes on fast food to widen the price gap between properly home-cooked meals and ready-made food items. Individuals may also find it useful to plan their meals in advance so they can bring lunch boxes to work, which can reduce their appetite for processed sandwiches and burgers and further prevent fast-food consumption. For those who struggle to find time to eat because of their stressful jobs and those who find it hard to pick up cooking their own meals, there are healthier pre-made meals available in the market that act as an alternative to fried chicken and spicy noodles. Several caterers have allowed monthly subscriptions to protein-packed, fiber-rich, and vitamin-dense dishes that can be delivered daily to subscribers. Moreover, for those who are already suffering from health issues caused by unhealthy eating habits, there are medications in the market that can help reverse some of the health issues caused by overeating or undereating. These medical interventions include weight-loss pills, fiber pills, and cardiovascular regulation medication. Together, I believe these solutions can mitigate the detrimental impacts of unhealthy eating habits.
In conclusion, many people today fail to eat healthily because of the prevalence of fast food and the stress of the modern work environment. In order to pre-empt and ease the unwanted drawbacks of this trend, a combination of actions from the state and each person is needed.
