2. Bài mẫu
The diagram compares the use of oil of a number of prominent markets around the world from 2009 until 2030.
Overall, it is clear that the USA has accounted for the highest consumption of oil by far compared to other regions. In addition, the oil usage of the US, Western Europe and Japan has and will continue to fall throughout the surveyed period while that of China and the Middle East will likely rise consistently.
In 2009, the US registered the largest amount of oil consumed globally with 10 million barrels per day, which was more than twice as much as that of Western Europe and Japan, the second-highest consumer with only 4 million. After remaining stable for 6 years, the US market then saw a marked decline in its oil usage, having dropped down to around 6 million barrels daily by 2025 before being projected to further decrease to just over 4 million in 2030. In comparison, the figure for Western Europe & Japan will continue on a smaller downward trajectory, becoming the lowest consumption rate out of all 4 areas after having fallen by half by 2030.
As for China and the Middle East, these two markets used approximately 2 million barrels of oil everyday in 2009. By 2025, the oil consumption of China has risen to nearly 4 million per day while that of the Middle Eastern region has also increased but by a smaller extent, to about 3 million. Regarding future forecasts, while the figure for China is likely to drop slightly to around 3.5 million in 2030, the oil use of the Middle East will undergo a moderate growth to the same level.
