Phân tích yêu cầu đề bài
Đây là dạng Opinion Essay. Đề bài yêu cầu đánh giá nhận định rằng phần lớn các vấn đề cấp bách hiện nay chỉ có thể được giải quyết thông qua hợp tác quốc tế.
Cần chú ý từ “only”. Nếu đồng ý hoàn toàn, cần chứng minh rằng các quốc gia riêng lẻ không thể giải quyết hiệu quả phần lớn những vấn đề nghiêm trọng này. 2. Bài mẫu
In an increasingly interconnected world, many pressing issues extend beyond national borders, leading some to argue that they can only be addressed through international cooperation. I largely agree with this view because global challenges such as climate change and pandemics require coordinated action, although certain urgent domestic problems can still be tackled effectively at the national level.
International cooperation is indispensable when dealing with problems that transcend national boundaries. Climate change, for example, cannot be effectively addressed by one country acting alone because greenhouse gas emissions produced in one part of the world affect the global environment. Countries therefore need to establish common environmental targets, share green technologies, and coordinate efforts to reduce carbon emissions, allowing individual national measures to contribute to a broader global response. Similarly, infectious diseases can spread rapidly across borders, making international information sharing and medical collaboration essential for controlling outbreaks. The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the importance of countries sharing scientific knowledge and coordinating public-health responses, highlighting the necessity of collective action when confronting global emergencies.
However, not every urgent issue depends primarily on international collaboration. Problems such as unemployment, housing shortages, and inadequate public services are largely shaped by domestic economic and social conditions, meaning national governments are often better positioned to address them directly. For instance, a severe housing shortage can be tackled by constructing affordable homes, reforming planning regulations, and providing financial assistance to low-income households, enabling governments to respond to the specific needs of their populations. International organisations may provide expertise or financial assistance, but such support cannot replace effective domestic policies, demonstrating that national action remains crucial for problems that are primarily local in nature.
In conclusion, I largely agree that international cooperation is essential for addressing many of the most urgent problems facing the world, particularly those that cross national borders. Nevertheless, claiming that such problems can only be solved internationally is too absolute, as effective national policies remain the key to tackling domestic challenges.
