Câu trả lời mẫu (Sample Answer)

1. What is your favourite day of the week?

I think that like most people, my most favorite day is Sunday, when I can put every ongoing task to the backburner for a while, have a respite and get myself rejuvenated. I can do all sorts of leisure activities like sleeping in, binge watching movies or playing with my little daughter. Besides, this day of the week is also the only day that my husband is off from work, so he can lend me a hand in taking care of my kid.

  • put something to the backburner: tạm gác lại gì đó
  • have a respite: nghỉ ngơi
  • sleeping in (v): ngủ nướng
  • binge watching (v): cày (phim)
  • lend me a hand in Ving: giúp đỡ ai (cái gì)

2. What is your least favourite day?

It’s definitely Monday because in the rush hours, all streets are usually inundated with scooters, which spew out tons of CO2 on a regular basis. More importantly, Monday is the time when I have to be back to the monotonous daily grinds, which just drain my energy so badly

  • Inundated with something (phrase) = overwhelmed with something: tràn ngập thứ gì
  • Monotonous (adj): buồn tẻ
  • Daily grinds (n): guồng quay cuộc sống hằng ngày

3. What is the busiest day of the week for you?

In my role as a teacher, Friday tends to be my busiest day of the week. It involves wrapping up the week’s lessons, grading assignments, and preparing materials for the following week. Additionally, there are often meetings and discussions with colleagues to plan collaborative activities or address any concerns. All of those things just make Fridays the most bustling and productive day for me.

  • Wrap up something: kết thúc thứ gì
  • Productive (adj): năng suất
  • Bustling (adj): hối hả

4. Is there anything that you do every day?

Certainly, every day before sleep, I make it a habit to count my blessings. You know, reflecting on the positive aspects of my day helps me cultivate gratitude and appreciate the small joys in life. It’s genuinely a calming routine that not only promotes a positive mindset but also ensures a peaceful transition into a restful night’s sleep. To be candid, this practice has become an essential and uplifting part of my daily routine.

  • Cultivate (v): nuôi dưỡng
  • Uplifting (adj): nâng cao tinh thần

5. What do you usually do on weekends?

On weekends, I prioritize quality time with my husband and kids. We often engage in various family activities, varying from outdoor adventures to cozy dinner time at home. It’s a time for us to bond, share stories, and create lasting memories together. From my perspective, whether exploring new places or simply enjoying each other’s company, weekends are dedicated to nurturing our family connections and fostering a sense of togetherness.

  • Bonds = connections (n): sự kết nối
  • Togetherness: sự đoàn kết

6. Are weekdays and weekends the same for you?

Certainly, to me, weekdays and weekends are entirely different because weekdays are usually dominated by work-related commitments, including meetings and daily routines. In contrast, weekends provide me a refreshing break, affording me the opportunity to unwind, enjoy quality time with loved ones, and pursue personal interests. From my own experience, the stark distinction in activities and priorities between weekdays and weekends is the key factor that helps me maintain a well-rounded and balanced lifestyle.

  • stark distinction: sự khác biệt rõ ràng
  • Priority (n): Sự ưu tiên
