1. Do you believe in movie reviews?
Movie reviews can be valuable sources of information for making decisions about which movies to watch. They provide insights into the quality, themes, and overall enjoyment of a film from the perspective of critics or fellow audience members. However, it’s essential to consider multiple reviews from different sources and to be aware of personal preferences, as individual tastes may differ.
- Insight (n): hiểu biết sâu sắc
- Critics (n): nhà phê bình
2. What are the different types of films in your country?
Vietnam has all sorts of movies like other countries in this world, from my perspective, from documentaries to romance. However, the two most prevalent types would be dramas and action. While the former often explores relatable human experiences, emotions, and relationships and evokes strong emotions in viewers, the latter brings fast-paced sequences, adrenaline-pumping stunts, and intense combat scenes, offering a great sense of excitement and stress relief.
- Relatable (n): liên quan
3. Are historical films popular in your country? Why?
Not really, Vietnamese audiences nowadays often perceive historical films as less relevant or relatable to their contemporary lives, especially if the movies focus on events or periods that are distant or unfamiliar. Preferences tend to lean toward films that reflect current societal issues or trends.
- Lean towards: nghiêng về
4. Do you think films with famous actors or actresses are more likely to become successful films?
Films featuring famous actors or actresses often have an advantage in attracting audiences due to their star power and recognition. However, success ultimately depends on various factors including the quality of the script, direction, and overall production value. While celebrity involvement can increase a film’s initial visibility and box office potential, it doesn’t guarantee long-term success if other elements are lacking.
- Script (n) kịch bản
- Initial visibility (n) thị giác ban đầu
5. Why are Japanese animated films so popular?
From my perspective, Japanese animation has gained enormous popularity all over the world because of the fact that it features distinctive and visually captivating animation styles that set it apart from Western animation. The vibrant colors, detailed character designs, and imaginative settings contribute to its appeal.
- Visually captivating (a): hấp dẫn về mặt thị giác
- Vibrant colours (n): màu sắc xinh tươi
6. Should the director pay a lot of money to famous actors?
Whether a director should pay a significant amount of money to hire famous actors depends on various factors including the budget of the film, the importance of star power for the project, and the potential return on investment. While casting famous actors can enhance a film’s marketability and draw in audiences, it’s essential for directors to consider whether the investment aligns with the overall vision and financial viability of the project. Ultimately, the decision should be based on a careful assessment of the film’s needs, the available resources, and the potential benefits of casting famous actors in relation to the project’s goals.
- Marketability (n): khả năng tiếp thị
- Align with (n): khớp với
