1. Who should people ask for advice on big issues, family members or friends?
People should consult family members or friends whom they want to emulate in the area under consideration. It’s because the advice is more likely to be sound than from other sources for their endeavors to succeed, which they desire with life-altering decisions, such as marriages or career pursuits. Many people heeded the advice of their real estate mogul friends, investing in lucrative markets, and as a result amassed wealth enough for them to retire before 40.

2. Why do some people like to ask others for advice on almost everything?
I think some people seek recommendations from others on virtually everything out of insecurities. They perhaps have so low self-esteem that they mistrust their own judgements. A case in point is those who know all too well what they need to do, but still solicit advice as validation or reassurance.
3. Do people often ask for advice from professional people, like a lawyer?
When it comes to inconsequential matters, such as minor purchases, people generally don’t bother asking anyone for advice. However, for consequential matters where their knowledge is scant or they are laypeople, individuals do arrange consultations with professionals to save themselves all the headaches, financial and legal troubles/crises down the road. For example, they hire a lawyer to draft prenuptial agreements, covering all the terms mandated by the laws, including property division, custody, child support and alimony, in the event of a divorce.
