1. Where did you go for your last holiday?
I went to Ha Long, a coastal province in the North of Vietnam. While many youngsters nowadays opt for a foreign visit to another country, I always prioritize spending my vacation time in different places in Vietnam. I think it’s best to know your hometown first before you want to travel abroad.

2. Do you like holidays? Why?
Yes, I do, and I think most people do too. Having holidays, even when I don’t go traveling, is a time for me to relax and recharge my battery after many hard days of work. If I don’t have days off in holidays, I think I will be very drained.

3. Which public holiday do you like best?
I would say Tết. It’s our biggest Vietnamese new year season when people have 7 to 15 days off to gather with friends and family and to temporarily forget about work life. On these festive days, I do nothing but enjoy my life, have slow mornings, update with friends and all that jazz. It’s such a wonderful prize after a hectic year.

4. What do you do on holidays?
It really depends on whom I go with. Usually, when I’m with my friends, I’m very much of a cheerleader who entertains people with my dance moves and singing ability. It’s a different story when I go on holiday with my family. I tend to be more reserved and act nicely because I don’t want to be judged by adults.

5. Do you prefer a leisurely or a busy holiday?
Leisurely busy? I guess. This may sound contrasting, but I don’t want to be leisurely by being a couch potato, sitting in front of the TV and binge-watching different series all day long. That would be so boring to me. However, I don’t want to work on holidays as well. So, my go-to plan is always to make myself “busy” with different leisurely forms of entertainment at the same time. Playing is busy but also very relaxing, isn’t it?

6. Who do you usually spend the holiday with?
Generally, I spend my time with my close friends during the holidays. We prefer to hang out and spend quality time by engaging in activities like going on road trips to other nearby cities. Trying cuisines from different cultures during food tours is also a great choice. Occasionally, my family members also have this routine of meeting up if they are not away, thus the festive season becomes much more exciting for me.

7. Do you prefer to travel alone or in a group?
Although I usually enjoy spending time alone, I prefer to travel with a group of people I’m close to if I have plans to travel during my vacation. It’s more enjoyable to have familiar faces around when going on a trip you know, as we get to soak up wonderful new experiences and create cherished memories with those I hold dear.
