1. Do you often use maps?
All the time! I have no sense of directions and I often have to rely on Google Maps to get me to places. Otherwise I’d be completely lost! I guess people can book a Grab (a Grab is the Vietnamese equivalent of an Uber), but they’d have to wait a little bit for the driver to come and it would also cost them some extra money.

2. Do you use paper maps?
Well, navigational apps like Google Maps make actual paper maps seem pretty archaic now. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone with a paper map on the streets. But I guess I would still consult paper maps in geography books from time to time.

3. How often do you use maps on your phone?
Quite a lot actually. Saigon’s a pretty nice place with lots of interesting eateries and pubs to offer. Thing is, I don’t really know my way around the city just yet. So when I have to get somewhere, I always grab my phone and look for the directions on Google Maps. Come to think of it, even people who know the city well sometimes need Google Maps as well. To read reviews about a place or to find the route with the least traffic, for example.

4. Do you have maps at home?
Haha a map of Middle-Earth from the Lord of the Rings series, yes, but maps of actual places, no. I’ve seen people hang the world map on their walls, like a piece of decoration. That’s pretty nice to look at, too.
